1. MARRIAGE PROPOSAL🏵️

Hii readers,

Sorry for inconvenience and for repost. again, sorry but this for make this story more alive and beautiful

Myra came home, completely drained. the day had taken its toll- first college, then tuition, and those extra lectures because exams were approaching.

After months of relentless studying, exhaustion weighed on her like a heavy burden. All she wanted was rest. she stepped inside, exhaling deeply, ready to collapse into her own world of peace.

But what she saw stole whatever little energy remained.

Sitting on the couch, waiting for her, were tau sa, mumma and chachu. A tense silence hung in the air, and Myra knew instantly- this wasn't just another conversation; it was something final. Unavoidable.

Her heartbeat faltered.

Tau Sa rarely came home. whenever he did, a storm followed.

And today was no different.

She forced a polite greeting and turned toward her room, hoping to escape. but before she could take mor than a few steps, her mother's calm, measured voice called out.

"Myra, we need to talk."

It was not warm; it was not loving - it was simply tired. The kind of exhaustion that came from dragging an unwanted decision forward.

She hesitated for a fraction of a second, glanced at her mother, but decided she wasn't in the mood to endure this discussion. she took another step, ready to leave.

"I am not your enemy," Mumma said, this time sharper, final a reminder that she wasn't fighting against her, but rather expecting compliance.

Myra jaw clenched her jaw. she didn't want to hear this.

"Myra, beta, just once...... listen" her Chachu stood up then, voice softer than the rest.

She sighed, forcing a small, tired smile as she finally turned back toward them and settled beside them. she was exhausted. because she knew no amount of fighting would change what was coming.

"Why you do this all time, why you do not listen, Myra" Tau Sa 's didn't waste time his voice was cold, cutting through the room like ice.

She didn't even lift her gaze toward him. she simply sat, quiet. waiting.

Then- his next words struck like lightning.

"A marriage proposal has come for you. from the Rathore's."

Silence.

"The great family of Rajasthan. the royals. The king of Mewar, Mr. Bhaan Singh Rathore, wants his grandson to marry you."

Her head snapped up. Shock. Confusion. Disbelief.

"They are coming tomorrow to finalize the wedding."

Tau Sa's voice held no room for argument. no space for her opinion, her choices.

Myra swallowed hard. this wasn't just marriage. It was a deal. a transaction. A power play.

She shifted her gaze toward Chachu- the only person she trusted.

He nodded, his voice steady but quiet.

"Misthi, they are, well known family. It's good for you."

Good for her?

She looked at her mother. Mumma sat silently.

She was not rough, she wasn't cold. she was simply tired. worried. hoping- pleading silently- that Myra would understand.

"They said it's your choice."

the words felt empty, meaningless.

Because Tau Sa had already decided.

"And you will say yes," he declared. " If you dare to resist .........."

Myra's chest tightened.

She understood exactly what he meant.

He didn't want an answer. he wanted submission.

The weight of those words settled into her bones. A simple "Yes" not just a response. but a sentence that would seal her future forever.

She had never imagined marriage, never fantasized about love, never considered a man stepping into her life to protect her, pay her bills, make or her whole.

She did not know what it meant to be a wife, to have a husband, to belong to someone. she only knew care not, love.

And she never wanted love or maybe.............

She wants to be like her father the man who honest, powerful, kind and fearless. A man who loved his family and work, who never ever treated them unwanted as burdens. Not like the people around her now.

But no one saw that. no one listened.

Her chain of thought shattered as Tau Sa's sharp voice cut through the air.

"Understand"

She gathered all her strength, swallowed hard, and looked at him just once hoping, perhaps, that he would understand.

She spoke. "But........"

"No. No but, this is final. they are coming tomorrow to finalize the wedding."

the words echoed, sinking into the walls around her. he repeated them with the same cold authority.

that was it. Her future, decided. and no one not even her mother was going to listen. her words meant nothing. she felt invisible, surrounded by deaf ears and blind obedience.

She wanted independence. she was fighting for it. but in their eyes, she would never fully have it.

"Virendra, make all the arrangements. I do not want any mistakes." Tau Sa's tone was firm as he stood, leaving no space for discussion.

She watched him walk away the man who never argued, never debated. He simply decided. Because he had power.

She stood there, frozen. her fate had been sealed without her consent.

Her mind raced, drowning in thoughts that had no escape. Why, Mahadev? Why always me?

She wanted to fight. she wanted to scream. but words felt meaningless.

Her mother had spoken with calm finality, her Tau Sa had declared the decision as an order, and Chachu the only person who ever fought for her had stayed silent.

The weight of expectations, traditions, and family honor crushed down on her chest, making it difficult to breathe.

She did not remember walking to her room. she didn't remember shutting the door. she just knew that suddenly, she was standing alone.

Inside her sanctuary. her only place of peace.

Her legs gave out, and she sank onto the bed, staring at the ceiling. empty. numb.

Mahadev, if you love me...... show me. Prove it. Protect me.

But there was only silence.

Just like always.

............................

Suddenly, loud knocking pulled her from sleep.

"Oh Mahadev," she groaned, rubbing her eyes. could they not let her rest for a moment?

She opened the door, still half asleep, and before she could react, a force slammed into her- a sudden hug.

"Oho, Di! who is bothering you now that you were sleeping like you had sold all the horses!"

His voice was full of mischief, laughter, energy.

She blinked, registering the warmth of her younger brother. And instead of pushing him away, she tightened the hug.

"Chutku, my baby," she whispered, chuckling.

"I am NOT!" he pouted instantly, "now! stop calling me that!"

She laughed. He hated that nickname, but it wasn't her fault. he was so small once. and now... well, now he was growing up.

"Chidchida," she teased internally.

but would he ever grow out of this charm? she hoped not.

"Misthi, Abhi, come. Dinner is ready," Mumma called from the kitchen.

Myra almost refused. she didn't want to eat. she didn't want to sit through another forced conversation.

But before she could protest, the young tornado beside her- Abhi - dragged her along, ignoring her resistance entirely.

At the dining table, the air still carried the heaviness of the morning's discussion.

Myra wasted no time. she quickly served herself, ready to eat fast and escape before any conversation could begin.

But before she could even lift her spoon, a bowl of Kheer was placed beside her.

She paused.

Her eyes fell on the familiar dish, then drifted toward her mother.

Why kheer? why tonight?

"Wow today is special! Di's favorite kheer? " His excitement was childlike, his eyes brimming with curiosity.

Mumma placed the bowl before her with a small knowing smile.

"Yes. very special." she said, her voice too controlled, too careful.

Her gaze settled on Myra, waiting.

Abhi, impatient s ever, leaned forward on the table. "Okay, what's happening? someone finally won the lottery?"

His teasing was meant to lighten the mood, but what came next changed everything.

"Your sister is getting married." Mumma announced, her tone warm too warm.

silence.

The spoon in her hand tightened painfully between her fingers.

Abhi blinked, processing the words like they were utter nonsense then-

"WHAT THE HEL-" he stopped abruptly, catching Mumma's sharp glare. He coughed himself. "Hehe...... I mean, what the heaven, Mumma?"

She stared at him with firm seriousness, forcing him to behave.

But wasn't done." Hold on. who's the poor soul destined to marry Di?"

He folded his hand in prayer, dramatically pleading for the unknown groom.

Myra shot him a look. this wasn't funny. this wasn't even real.

Mumma answered smoothly. "Mr. Aryan Singh Rathore. the eldest son of Mewar's king."

Abhi noticed the shift in his sister's demeanor.

"Di.... do you really want to marry?"

His voice was serious this time_ without teasing, without playfulness.

she hesitated. then, instinctively, she looks at her mother. Was she?

Mumma's eyes held a quiet plea, a kind of unspoken emotion that words couldn't express. A question. A hope. Maybe even guilt.

But Myra didn't let the moment linger. instantly, she flashed a small, playful smile." Oh, my baby is going to miss me?" her voice was light, teasing.

"Oh, not really," Abhi scoffed, rolling his eyes." I am asking because- you said you didn't want to marry."

The teasing was back, but beneath it, curiosity still lingered.

Before Myra could respond, Mumma spoke- this time with finality. "Okay, now eat."

But Abhi wasn't finished. he wanted to know everything about the day.

She lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling.

Her thought ran wild, refusing to settle.

this marriage. this decision. this life.

It was not hers. it was imposed sealed without her consent.

She clenched the bedsheet, frustration bubbling under her skin. Why Mahdev? Why always me?

she closed her eyes, hoping sleep would take her away from reality. but even in darkness, the weight of the coming day loomed over her.

IN RATHORE MANSION

Meanwhile, in the grand halls of Rathore mansion, excitement filled the air.

Everyone sat in the lounge, waiting eagerly for Bapusa's update.

"Bapusa, any news?" Meera- the Rani Sa of Mewar asked, her tone laced with anticipation.

All eyes turned toward Mr. Bhaan Singh Rathore, the patriarch of the family.

He nodded, his smile unmistakable. "Yes. They have agreed."

Excitement erupted across the room.

"Waah, Bapusa! what a wonderful news! Aryan is going to lose his mind!" Diya, the Chhoti Rani Sa, exclaimed, laughing.

"Sweeten our mouths, Meera! Our elder son is getting married!" Advait teased.

" Today you came early, did you get work done in the office or did you not do it at all? " Diya whisper to Rajiv offer them glass of water.

"Such kahe to aap ke alawa humara kisi or kaam me mann hi nhi lagta Diya aur waise bhi humare bachhe h na aap chinta mat kijiye" Rajiv whisper with a smirked

(To be honest, I don't feel that I can be used for anything other than you, and anyway, our children are there do not worry)

she blushes hard " shut up...... what kind of things do you talking about and how much work my two children will do, my poor babies! " She said loud accidentally.

the room echoed with laughter, warmth spreading like wildfire.

And yet, Aryan himself had no idea what was coming.

"Hold on!" Rhea suddenly chimed in, standing at the top of the stairs. "Nobody tells bhaiya or Sid bhaiya. Let's surprise him!"

Excited murmurs followed as the family began planning the grand reveal.
